Comet chooses Atlas to deliver its ebusiness strategy

Comet, one of the UK’s largest electrical retailers, has chosen Atlas as its strategic ebusiness partner.

Atlas’ appointment follows a review of existing EDI activities at Comet and work is already underway with the retailer and its supply chain to ensure the full benefits of the Atlas solution are achieved by all parties.  Explaining the appointment, Comet’s Commercial Director Bob Darke said:

“With Atlas we are improving the reliability of our ebusiness systems, the security of our information and of course driving cost savings as well as operational efficiencies.

“We have already implemented the Atlas solution, fully integrated with our core systems.

“This provides us with the ability to conduct automated processing of business documents using the Atlas Exchange Network at a fraction of our previous costs. What's more Atlas Exchange is renowned for its security, reliability and functionality far beyond the capability of the old EDI networks.

“In the future this foundation will provide Comet with the opportunity to further extend our ebusiness capability using additional web-based solutions developed by Atlas."
