North American automotive supplier selects Atlas for ebusiness supply chain solution
The world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of brakes and associated products to the automotive industry is now using a combination of Atlas ebusiness solutions to reduce costs, promote efficiencies and improve customer service.
Capital Tool and Design produces the finest riveted and integrally moulded disc brake backing plates, disc brake attaching hardware, and disc brake dampers for almost every vehicle application in the global marketplace.
They maintain the largest product line offering in North America providing customers with one stop shopping for all of their disc pad backing plate needs.
Capital Tool needed a partner that could quickly deliver an automated EDI solution meeting the needs of both its U.S. and Canadian customers. It was also important that the electronic documents were integrated into Capital Tool’s SAP back office system.
Using a combination of Atlas’ cost effective secure network and cloud-based outsourced services allowed Capital to quickly initiate an EDI program with their customers without the need for expensive in-house software.
The details of each customer order are imported electronically into Capital’s SAP system. Likewise, advance shipping notices are exported from SAP and automatically delivered to Capital’s customers.
