Global fashion brand drives profitability with Atlas

Radley and Company’s bags and accessories are amongst the most sought after in the world, so product availability is imperative.

From its beginnings in 1980s Camden Market, the Radley brand with the iconic Scottish Terrier logo has gone from strength to strength, with the company’s luxurious bags and other accessories now sold throughout the world, in stores as well as online.

Ensuring that the right product is in the right place at the right time is vital as Radley strives to meet demand and maximise its sales.  Since 2003 the company has relied on Atlas as its strategic business to business partner to help streamline its supply chain activities, achieving business efficiencies and cost savings.

Atlas’ secure file transfer system processes a wide variety of electronic documents including orders, invoices, credits, sales reports and stock snapshots, sent between Radley and its trading partners such as John Lewis, House of Fraser and World Duty Free.

Operating uninterrupted since its launch, the Atlas solution has been specifically designed for those organisations that require total reliability and security to protect their reputation and ensure their operational integrity.

Francis Rodrigues, Head of IT at Radley says: “We’ve been working with Atlas for more than 10 years and there’s no doubt that Atlas has played an important role in assisting Radley’s growth.

“The fashion world is very fast moving so you need a partner who acts quickly. With Atlas we have an excellent solution supported by great technical expertise. They understand our commercial imperatives too - it’s a great combination and they take away the pain by handling our electronic trading needs for us.

“We have an ongoing conversation about what is going on in our business and what is coming over the horizon so Atlas is a very important part of our supply chain cycle with all of our customers with which we trade electronically.

“As a result of the very close relationship with Atlas we now have a system that is configured to meet the specific needs of Radley and its customers. It’s for these reasons that they’re our strategic business to business partner.”

Atlas Managing Director Allan Gray added: “We are delighted to have played a part in a success story like Radley and Company. It’s always our aim to have long-term relationships with customers, as the more we know about a business the more value we can add. This approach was recently recognised with a European Software Excellence Award for our work with a major retailer in Ireland.

“To have a business relationship that stretches back more than 10 years requires skill, commitment and hard work by all the partners. Above all, as a supplier, we have to deliver results and we do this by treating each day as if it were the first, with maximum energy and concentration on what our customer needs.”

Said Atlas VP Group Sales Michael Latimer: “Ensuring that the right product is in the right place at the right time enables brand owners to protect margins for their retail distributors and themselves by reducing costly mark downs and lost revenue potential.”

Concluded Atlas’ Senior Consultant Narinder Shergill: “It’s very satisfying to be able to contribute to Radley’s profitability and commercial success.”

“The fashion world is very fast moving so you need a partner who acts quickly. With Atlas we have an excellent solution supported by great technical expertise. They understand our commercial imperatives too - it’s a great combination.”
